The Stand Comedy Club has been operating in Glasgow for over 15 years now, successfully serving up big-name comedians and the best in fresh young talent on the comedy circuit. With sister comedy clubs in Edinburgh and Newcastle, The Stand has carved a name for itself as the proper home of live comedy. The Glasgow Stand, situated in the vibrant West End of the city has become a favourite haunt for locals and tourists wishing to see comedy in its purest form. Friday and Saturday nights are weekend specials, featuring up to five pro comedians, but be quick to book as these shows sell out most weekends. Tuesday night is Red Raw, the legendary new material night for only £5 and featuring up to ten acts. If you fancy seeing the likes of Frankie Boyle, Kevin Bridges, Josie Long and other big names in a purpose built, intimate environment, The Stand is the place to visit. Came here for the best of the fringe with Billy. It was hilarious. We were sat at the very front so had no bother seeing. All the comedians were hilarious. I think the host was the funniest. They had great interaction with the crowd. It was my first stand up and didn\'t know what to expect. I will definitely be back and would definitely recommend this for a great night. 5* from me.
